Research Postdoc

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to study the role of lipid metabolism in Leishmania survival and pathogenesis. The successful candidate will use modern molecular biology approaches to characterize virulence genes and purify high value recombinant proteins as potential drug targets. Applicants must have a PhD in molecular biology/cell biology, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment in academic research. Experience in pathogenic protozoa is preferred but not required.
